I am delighted to announce that I will be teaching two, weekend workshops in November and December respectively. There is a lovely art and community center right around the corner from my home. I am looking forward to getting back into the studio and refreshing my jewelry and metal skills.
Quote of the Week Wednesday
"Chocolate and flowers die and get eaten but jewelry is forever."
Lori Wear
I couldn't find much information about this quote but I like it because who doesn't love chocolate, flowers, AND jewelry?
Quote of the Week Wednesday
I tend not to wear accessories. I'm not one of those gals with a drawerful of amazing jewelry. I don't even have my ears pierced! But I have one bracelet that never comes off my wrist.
- Rachael Taylor
That one piece of jewelry is so important! I love that jewelry can be valued to a person beyond the weight in gold, or the number of carats in a diamond.
Quote of the Week Wednesday
"Great things are done by a series of small things brought together."
- Vincent Van Gogh
I think that this can very much apply to beading, one bead at a time to make something beautiful! In honor of this quote I give you the Stary Night in bottle caps, called Recycle-Night, one bottle cap at a time.
Holiday Craft Show Prep
The count down is here: four days until the Village of Mamaroneck Arts Council 5th Anual Holiday Arts and Crafts Fair! I am in full prep mode. With a to-do list that is long but hopefully manageable. I am so thankful to be involved in such a great local event. It will be my first show which is very exciting.
We tried out my display and I am very happy with how it looks. Enjoy this sneak-peak:
